Canada wins first NORCECA Women's Volleyball title

Canada has won its first-ever NORCECA Women's Volleyball Championship after defeating the United States 3-2 in the gold medal match in Santo Domingo. The Canadian team finished the tournament undefeated with a 5-0 record.

In the bronze medal match, Cuba secured third place by defeating the host nation, the Dominican Republic, with a 3-0 score. This victory marks Cuba's return to the NORCECA podium for the first time in 15 years. The Dominican Republic finished the continental championship in fourth place.

The results set the stage for the NORCECA Olympic Pre-Qualifying Tournament, where Canada, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico will compete for a single qualifying spot for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
