Rising electricity costs in the Philippines are driving increased interest in solar energy among households and businesses. In regions like Pampanga, residents and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) are seeking solar solutions to manage high monthly power expenses caused by increased appliance use and hybrid work setups.

While solar technology has become more competitive and efficient, the primary barrier to adoption remains the significant upfront installation cost. To address this, there is a growing focus on financing options. Institutions such as the Pag-IBIG Fund, Social Security System (SSS), and Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) are being identified as potential avenues to provide affordable, long-term payment plans for qualified Filipino families and workers to invest in solar and battery storage systems.
