Philippines SSS to disburse UPLIFT aid to low-income members
The Philippine Social Security System (SSS) has announced that eligible members with a monthly salary credit (MSC) of P10,000 or lower will begin receiving UPLIFT Assistance starting October 30, 2026. This expanded coverage, coordinated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provides up to P8,000 in total aid, distributed in four P2,000 tranches.
Beneficiaries who have not yet received any assistance will receive the full P8,000 in a single release. Those who previously received the first two tranches will receive the remaining P4,000. Separately, members with an MSC of up to P20,000 are scheduled to receive their third and fourth tranches, totaling P4,000, on November 6, 2026.
To qualify, members must meet several criteria: they must have remitted at least one SSS contribution in 2025 or 2026, be listed in the Philippine Statistics Authority’s 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) database, and have an enrolled disbursement account through the SSS Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM). The SSS noted that a low MSC alone does not guarantee eligibility.
