Philips' 10‑litre Megabasket and Lidl's £50 glass air fryer debut

Philips introduced its 5000 Series Megabasket air fryer, the brand's largest model at 10 litres, featuring a dual‑zone design, 3‑in‑1 cooking modes (air‑fry, steam, SteamFry) and RapidAir Plus technology. It retails for £259.99 and is available on Amazon.

Lidl launched a budget glass‑container air fryer under the Silvercrest brand, offering a 4 litre main bowl and a 2 litre secondary bowl that double as storage containers. The appliance provides four cooking modes (air‑fry, roast, re‑fry, keep warm) with temperature control from 60 °C to 200 °C. It is priced at £49.99 with a Lidl Plus card for a limited period in early August.

Several manufacturers are also promoting smart air fryers with Wi‑Fi and app integration, including COSORI Dual Blaze, Philips Connected Airfryer XXL, Ninja Pro, Instant Vortex Plus, Proscenic T22, Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer, and Breville Joule Oven. These models allow remote monitoring, recipe guidance and voice‑assistant compatibility.
