Philips and Bosch release new airfryer models

Recent product details and testing highlight new airfryer models from Philips and Bosch.

The Philips Airfryer 5000 Series (HD9285/96) features a 7.2-liter capacity and a 1.4 kg basket, designed for households preparing larger portions. It operates at 2,000 watts and includes 16 cooking functions such as roasting, baking, and dehydrating. The device is connected via the NutriU app, allowing users to monitor cooking and select recipes. It offers a temperature range of 40 to 200 °C and a timer of up to 180 minutes.

In comparative testing, the Bosch Double Stack (MAFD661B0) from the Series 6 was named a winner due to its dual-basket design. The unit provides a total 12-liter capacity, split into two 6-liter baskets, each with its own heating element. While it performed well with chicken, broccoli, and rolls, testers noted room for improvement regarding french fries and high power consumption. The Bosch model includes specialized functions like ‘Match’ and ‘Sync’ to manage the two cooking zones, with temperatures ranging from 40 to 230 °C.
