Philips announces Evnia 36M4C5500P ultrawide gaming monitor
Philips has announced the Evnia 36M4C5500P, which the manufacturer claims is the world’s first 36-inch gaming monitor in its size class to feature a 260 Hz refresh rate. The device utilizes a curved Fast-VA panel with a 1500R curvature and UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440) in a 21:9 aspect ratio.
Technical specifications include a native 240 Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 260 Hz, a 0.3 ms MPRT via Smart MBR Sync, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification with peak brightness of up to 500 cd/m². Connectivity options consist of two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4.
The monitor is intended to bridge the gap between standard 34-inch ultrawide models and much larger 42-to-49-inch displays. The initial market launch will take place exclusively in the APAC region, with pricing and release dates for Europe and other regions yet to be determined.
