Philips expands Fidelio audio line with new microchaîne and headphones

Philips is expanding its Fidelio audio line with the introduction of the FA7 microchaîne and the L5 headphones.

The FA7 is a hi-fi stereo system priced at €599.99. It features a CD player, network streaming capabilities, and a bi-amplified architecture providing 2 x 60W RMS. The system supports various wireless protocols including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect, alongside Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC and LC3 support. It also includes a triple tuner for FM, DAB+, and internet radio.

The Fidelio L5 headphones are positioned in a more accessible segment with a price point of €199. These headphones utilize 36mm drivers with a ceramic coating and support high-resolution audio via LC3 and LDAC codecs. Compared to its predecessor, the L5 offers a more controlled and dynamic sound profile with emphasized mids and smoother high tones.
