Philips introduces new Lumea IPL hair removal devices

Philips has introduced the Lumea IPL 9900 Pro, an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal device designed for home use. The device features live audio feedback, intelligent movement guidance, and personalized recommendations via a dedicated app. The system tracks movements in real-time to ensure correct application techniques, providing visual step-by-step instructions for areas such as the legs and arms.

According to Philips, the device can achieve hair reduction of over 80% after just two treatments, with results potentially lasting up to five years. Following the initial phase, users may only require one application per month to maintain smooth skin.

Additionally, the Philips Lumea IPL Series 7000 (model BRI923/00) is available as a corded option. This model includes three specialized attachments for the body, face, and bikini zone, and is designed to deliver up to 250,000 light impulses, which the company estimates provides a lamp lifespan of up to 20 years.
