Philips launches AI-powered DiamondClean 9900 Prestige toothbrush

Philips has launched the Sonicare Next-Generation DiamondClean 9900 Prestige, an advanced electric toothbrush featuring integrated AI and SenseIQ technology. The device uses on-device AI to monitor brushing pressure 100 times per second, automatically adjusting vibration intensity in real-time to protect gums and prevent improper scrubbing techniques.

Key features include a touchscreen display that provides a 12-segment mouth map to track cleaning effectiveness and highlight missed zones. A light ring at the base of the handle provides visual feedback regarding pressure and movement. The brush offers eight cleaning modes and three intensity levels. Philips claims the technology can remove up to 20 times more plaque and improve gum health significantly compared to manual brushing.

In the United States, the device is priced at $379.99, which is lower than the $429.99 price point of the previous generation. In Italy, the list price is set at €549.99. The product is currently available in the US and Europe, with a broader global rollout expected through 2027.
