Philips launches Smart Lighting TV Sync for home entertainment
Signify has expanded its Philips Smart Lighting portfolio by launching a new Home Entertainment Lighting series called TV Sync. Designed for gamers and entertainment enthusiasts, the products aim to create a more immersive home viewing experience by synchronizing lighting with on-screen content in real-time.
The launch includes three primary products: Screen Sync, HDMI Sync 2.0, and HDMI Sync 2.1. The Screen Sync model utilizes a camera mounted atop a television to detect color changes on the screen, allowing for synchronization without the need for additional HDMI connections. This feature is specifically intended for Smart TV users who prefer a simplified setup.
According to Dedy Bagus Pramono, President Director of Signify Commercial Indonesia, the move responds to changing consumer habits in Indonesia, where more people are investing in home entertainment setups, including large televisions, sound systems, and gaming devices. The global smart lighting market is projected to grow significantly, reaching an estimated USD 173.21 billion by 2034.
