Philosophical and religious lectures scheduled in Cremona and Ferrara

Several cultural and philosophical events are scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026, in Italy.

In Cremona, philosopher Stefano Fontana will present his book, ‘Verità o interpretazione? Critica dell’ermeneutica cattolica’, at the Libreria Logos. The presentation will explore the distinction between objective knowledge and subjective interpretation, specifically examining how modern thought affects religious faith. Fontana serves as the director of the Cardinal Van Thuân Observatory on the Social Doctrine of the Church.

In Ferrara, Piero Stefani will hold a conference at the Biblioteca Ariostea titled ‘G. K. Chesterton racconta Francesco di Assisi alle persone di poca fede’. The session will focus on the relationship between the English writer G. K. Chesterton and Saint Francis of Assisi, viewed through Chesterton’s perspective on the saint’s life and spirituality.
