Phnom Penh hosts fifth Forum de rentrée for French community

The collective ‘Français au Cambodge – Plus Forts Ensemble !’ held the fifth edition of its Forum de rentrée on Saturday, September 12, at the Institut français du Cambodge in Phnom Penh. Despite heavy rain, approximately 200 visitors attended the event.

The forum featured thirty stands hosted by various associations, schools, health professionals, and French-speaking NGOs. The program emphasized interactive activities, including a live pottery demonstration, theatrical improvisation, a reading of a Cambodian folk tale, and a new charity second-hand bookshop.

Florian Bohême, an elected councillor for French citizens abroad and coordinator of the collective, noted that the event aimed to provide more demonstrations and interaction compared to previous years. The Institut français du Cambodge, which served as the host and partner, also highlighted the expansion of its multimedia library services during the event.
