Phoebe Bridgers releases third solo album ‘Lost Weekend’

Singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has released her third solo studio album, titled ‘Lost Weekend’, via Dead Oceans. This marks her first solo project in six years following her 2020 album ‘Punisher’ and her work with the supergroup boygenius.

The 16-track album explores themes of grief, loss, love, and aging, influenced by personal events including the death of her father and the end of her engagement to actor Paul Mescal. Musically, the record is described as an atmospheric and cohesive work that blends folk elements with synthesizers, strings, and processed vocals.

To support the release, Bridgers is conducting several unique promotional activities. These include planetarium listening sessions featuring visual displays and a series of intimate, phone-free shows in the UK, including dates in London, Bristol, Brighton, and Kingston. In the US, she has held surprise low-cost performances and local release celebrations, such as a midnight event at Toxic Records in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
