Phoebe Bridgers cancels UK shows due to appendicitis

Singer Phoebe Bridgers has canceled upcoming performances in the United Kingdom after being hospitalized with appendicitis. The diagnosis occurred around her 32nd birthday on August 17.

Bridgers announced the news via Instagram, stating that her scheduled shows in Kingston, Brighton, and Bristol must be moved, though she promised to “make it up to” her fans. While she performed two celebratory concerts for her new album, ‘Lost Weekend’, at London’s Union Chapel on her birthday, the medical emergency has forced the postponement of this week's intimate dates.

The singer is still scheduled to perform later this year at several major venues, including London’s O2 Arena and Manchester’s Co-op Live, as part of the UK leg of her tour, which will also travel to North America next month.
