Phoebe Bridgers debuts in ‘Primetime’ at Venice Film Festival

Singer Phoebe Bridgers made her acting debut at the Venice Film Festival for the world premiere of the A24 thriller ‘Primetime’. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, the film stars Robert Pattinson as a host of a reality show designed to catch sexual predators. Bridgers portrays a young decoy involved in the show’s sting operations.

During the festival, Bridgers drew significant attention for her appearance on the red carpet. She wore a floral-lace gown from Alexander McQueen’s fall 2026 collection and was noted for presenting a natural appearance, including visible body hair and sweat, which garnered praise online for normalizing unretouched female bodies.

‘Primetime’ has received positive reviews following its premiere. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in late September in the United States and October in other regions.
