Phoebe Bridgers releases new solo album ‘Lost Weekend’

Phoebe Bridgers has released her third solo studio album, titled ‘Lost Weekend’, marking her first full-length solo project in six years following her 2020 album ‘Punisher’. The 16-track record follows a two-year hiatus from the public eye.

The album explores themes of grief, love, and existentialism, drawing from personal experiences including the death of a parent and her relationship with comedian Bo Burnham. Musically, the project incorporates folk-ballad elements, country-style tracks, and ambient, drone-like textures. Recurring motifs include the supernatural, ghosts, and post-apocalyptic settings.

Collaborations include appearances by Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker of the supergroup boygenius, who provide harmonies and backup vocals on tracks such as ‘Haunted’ and ‘Lost Boys’. The album rollout featured a series of impromptu pop-up shows across various United States desert towns.
