Phoebe Bridgers releases new solo album “Lost Weekend”

Phoebe Bridgers has released “Lost Weekend,” her first solo album in over six years. The project explores themes of grief, family trauma, heartbreak, and hope through a blend of folk, ambient, dream pop, and psychedelic influences.

Musically, the album features significant experimentation. Bridgers moves away from her signature breathy vocal style toward more powerful delivery, occasionally using her breath itself as a melodic instrument. The production incorporates unconventional sounds, such as heartbeats and mechanical computer beeps, alongside orchestral and electronic elements.

The album features a mix of longtime collaborators like Ethan Gruska, Christian Lee Hudson, Marshall Vore, and producer Tony Berg, alongside new contributors including Jack Antonoff, Maya Hawke, and Bo Burnham. The production includes 80s-inspired synths and layered vocals, creating swelling soundscapes that balance intimacy with ceremonial, atmospheric arrangements.
