Australian opener Phoebe Litchfield has been ruled out of the third and final ODI against Bangladesh due to a low-grade hip muscle strain. The injury occurred during her 71-run innings in the second ODI.

With Australia already holding an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, allrounder Nicola Carey has been called into the playing XI for the match at Allan Border Field. Veteran Beth Mooney will move up to open the innings for her 100th ODI milestone.

Litchfield’s injury raises concerns regarding her availability for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. The Australian squad is currently managing several fitness issues, including hip and quad injuries to other players.
