Phoenix Contact hosts CharIN Conference on charging infrastructure

The CharIN Conference, held at the Phoenix Contact headquarters in Blomberg from September 22 to 25, 2026, brought together over 350 international participants to discuss the advancement of charging infrastructure.

Discussions focused on the role of electric mobility as a central component of the energy transition. Experts from the energy industry, research, and manufacturing sectors addressed the technical and economic implementation of the next stage of e-mobility. Phoenix Contact COO Ulrich Leidecker emphasized that building scalable charging infrastructure requires collaborative efforts between vehicle manufacturers, technology providers, and energy companies.

CharIN Chairman Claas Bracklo noted that the charging ecosystem is expanding beyond passenger cars to include commercial vehicles, buses, maritime applications, aviation, and mining. The event also featured a testing site where engineers verified the compatibility of various vehicles and charging stations to ensure seamless system integration.
