Two former Phoenix police officers, Antonio Felix and Luis Vasquez, have been fired and arrested following an unreported traffic stop on August 5. Phoenix Police Chief Matt Giordano announced the arrests, which include charges of aggravated assault and kidnapping.

According to police reports, a man and a woman alleged they were pulled over by an SUV using lights and sirens. During the encounter, the victims claimed the officers punched them, used a taser, and restrained them while inside their vehicle. The report further states that one suspect allegedly threatened the man with a handgun, while the woman was handcuffed and pushed face-down to the ground.

The man managed to escape the encounter and drive away, but his vehicle later broke down in Tempe, where he reported the allegations to local authorities.
