Phoenix Suns evaluate Miles Bridges fit amid Mark Williams injury

The Phoenix Suns are evaluating the integration of Miles Bridges following his acquisition to address the team’s power forward needs. While Bridges is a proven athletic scorer and play finisher, questions remain regarding how his style will complement the roster, particularly after the departures of outside shooters Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale. Bridges enters the final year of his contract, providing an incentive to demonstrate long-term value through both scoring and tertiary playmaking.

In other Suns news, center Mark Williams is expected to miss approximately five months of the upcoming season due to surgery on a torn labrum. This injury creates a significant opportunity for second-year center Khaman Maluach, who showed promise during the 2026 Summer League, and Oso Ighodaro, as the team looks to bolster its rebounding and interior presence.
