Phoenix Suns express optimism for upcoming NBA season

The Phoenix Suns expressed optimism regarding their upcoming season during Media Day. Following a 45-37 record last year, owner Mat Ishbia described the roster as an “ascending team” that combines veteran superstars with improving young talent.

Emphasis was placed on the development of young players, specifically 20-year-old center Khaman Maluach. Maluach, a 216-centimeter talent from South Sudan, has seen significant progress after seeking training opportunities with star player Devin Booker. Booker noted that Maluach has made the most progress among the players he observed this summer, citing his technical development and work ethic.

Due to an injury to Mark Williams, Maluach may face an increased role in the team's rotation. The Suns are returning 12 of 15 players from the previous season and aim to build upon their recent playoff appearance through improved strength and team culture.
