Phoenix Suns sign Duop Reath following Mark Williams injury
The Phoenix Suns have signed center Duop Reath to a one-year, veteran minimum contract to provide frontcourt depth. The move follows a significant injury to starting center Mark Williams, who suffered a torn labrum during a workout. Williams is expected to be sidelined for at least five months following shoulder surgery.
Reath, a 30-year-old former Portland Trail Blazers and Atlanta Hawks player, previously played for the Australian national team in the Olympics and the FIBA Basketball World Cup. He will join the Suns' rotation alongside Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach while Williams recovers.
