Phone-tapping case against Harish Rao transferred to Siddipet

The phone-tapping investigation involving BRS leader T. Harish Rao has been transferred from the Panjagutta Police Station in Hyderabad to the Siddipet One Town Police Station due to jurisdictional grounds.

The case originated from a complaint filed by Gadagoni Chakradhar Goud, a political candidate, who alleged that his and his wife’s mobile phones were illegally tapped during the 2023 Assembly elections. Harish Rao is named as the primary accused, with former DCP Radhakishan Rao identified as the secondary accused.

Siddipet One Town Circle Inspector P. Mahesh Reddy confirmed that the case was re-registered in Siddipet exactly as received from the Panjagutta police. While some reports suggested the addition of new legal sections related to forgery and identity theft, police officials clarified that no additional sections have been added or removed during the transfer process.
