Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park releases 17 rescued wild animals
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has released 17 rescued wild animals back into their natural habitats. The animals underwent a period of rescue, care, and health quarantine at the park’s Rescue, Conservation, and Species Development Center to ensure they were fit for survival.
The released group includes various species such as the Ha Tinh langur, pig-tailed macaques, Sunda pangolins, slow lorises, and several bird species including the Crested serpent eagle, Indian hawk-eagle, and brown eagle-owl.
Release locations were selected based on the biological characteristics and behaviors of each species. Primates were moved into deep forest areas to minimize human contact and facilitate adaptation to wild life, while birds were released in areas allowing for natural movement to suitable habitats.
