Photographer Kristina Oberling Teskera opens studio in Virovitica, Croatia

Kristina Oberling Teskera, a Virovitica native who trained as an informatics engineer, opened her own photography studio in the town centre after almost two decades behind the camera. Her interest in photography began in childhood when her family lived in Australia following the death of her father in the Croatian War of Independence; her mother took her and her brothers to a professional studio, an experience she says shaped her lifelong passion.

After university she expanded her skills through online photography challenges, workshops and forums, earning recognition for her work. Oberling Teskera now aims to give children a memorable studio experience, believing that photographs should preserve lasting memories rather than the fleeting images captured on smartphones.
