Photographer Kyle Quin Schrock hospitalized after 200-foot fall in Portugal

Adventure photographer Kyle Quin Schrock, a San Diego native with over 1.3 million Instagram followers, is fighting for his life after a 200-foot fall in Madeira, Portugal. The incident occurred on October 11 when a hiking trail crumbled beneath him.

Schrock was airlifted to a hospital and remains in the intensive care unit. According to a GoFundMe campaign launched by his family, he has sustained severe spinal injuries, broken ribs, and requires lung drainage. He is currently awaiting spinal surgery and faces a lengthy recovery process involving rehabilitation and medical care in the United States.
