Photography competitions announced in Bitonto and Legnano

Two distinct photography competitions have been announced in Italy.

In Bitonto, the Centro Ricerche di Storia e Arte is hosting the ‘Ulivo Parlante’ contest. The competition invites students, amateurs, and professionals to capture the identity of the Puglian landscape, specifically focusing on olive trees as symbols of Mediterranean culture and history. Entries must be taken within the municipality of Bitonto or the province of Bari. Participation is free, and submissions are accepted until October 18, 2026. AI-generated images and photomontages are strictly prohibited.

Separately, Legnano Arte has launched its inaugural photography contest titled ‘Sguardi sul Mondo’. This competition is open to all photographers and offers a first prize of 1,000 euros. Participants must pay a 20-euro entry fee and submit a single original photograph by September 21, 2026. The contest allows for standard post-production but excludes AI-generated or heavily altered images.
