Photography exhibitions open in Rijeka and Koper

The Gallery Pasaz in Rijeka, Croatia, opened the exhibition “Noćnik” by photographer Max Juhasz. The show features black‑and‑white night‑time cityscapes that explore the interplay of artificial light, architecture and darkness. It runs until 5 August and is co‑financed by the City of Rijeka and the Primorje‑Gorski Kot County.

In Koper, Slovenia, an exhibition titled “Akromatični pejzaji” by photographer Radovan Čok opened at a local venue. The display uses infrared photography—a technique once classified as a military secret during World War II—to render vegetation in red tones, creating a post‑apocalyptic visual effect. Čok’s work examines the influence of light on perception and references the historic use of the method in reconnaissance.

Both exhibitions highlight contemporary artistic experimentation with light and photographic technology in the Adriatic region.
