Phu Minh Vina investigated for illegal disposal of 12,000 tons of waste

The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam has concluded an investigation into Phu Minh Vina Environment Co., Ltd., revealing that the company illegally disposed of over 12,000 tons of waste. Between July 2025 and June 2026, approximately 533 trips were made to transport 12,318 tons of waste from the company’s facility in Tram Than, Phu Tho province, to unauthorized locations in Hanoi and Phu Tho.

The investigation found that Phu Minh Vina contracted Duc Minh Khoi Transport Service and Trading Co., Ltd. to handle the transportation. Notably, much of the waste originated from a workshop designated for hazardous materials. Laboratory analysis of landfill samples showed mineral oil levels exceeding technical environmental standards for hazardous waste.

Due to signs of environmental pollution crimes under Article 235 of the Penal Code, the case files have been transferred to the Ministry of Public Security and the Phu Tho Provincial Police for potential prosecution and legal handling.
