Phu Minh Vina waste plant case referred to police for investigation

The Government Inspectorate has transferred a case file to police investigators regarding potential environmental pollution crimes involving Phu Minh Vina Environment Co., Ltd.

An inspection revealed that between July 2025 and June 2026, approximately 533 trips were made to illegally dump roughly 12,318 tons of waste. This waste was transported from the Phu Minh Vina plant in Phu Tho province to various locations in Hanoi and Phu Tho via a transport contract with Duc Minh Khoi Transport Service and Trading Co., Ltd.

Investigators found that a significant portion of the waste originated from a facility containing hazardous materials. Laboratory analysis of landfill samples showed mineral oil levels exceeding technical environmental standards for hazardous waste. The inspection identified four groups of behaviors with signs of criminal activity, including the illegal dumping of waste and the improper handling of industrial and medical waste.
