Phu Quoc doctors save two patients from acute myocardial infarction
Medical teams in Phu Quoc successfully performed emergency interventions to save two patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction. The procedures were carried out through a professional cooperation between Cho Ray Hospital and a local hospital in Phu Quoc.
The first patient, a 65-year-old male with a history of heavy smoking, was admitted on September 14 in critical condition with shortness of breath and chest pain. Doctors successfully revascularized the right coronary artery, restoring blood flow and stabilizing his condition.
The second patient, a 58-year-old male with diabetes and a history of smoking, presented with subacute myocardial infarction and mild heart failure. Following a successful intervention on the same day to clear a blockage in the left anterior descending artery, the patient also stabilized. Both patients were discharged after four days of treatment in stable condition.
