Phu Tho doctors successfully treat 101-year-old stroke patient

A 101-year-old woman in Vietnam has successfully recovered following a major stroke. The patient, who has a medical history of hypertension, Parkinson's disease, and heart failure, experienced sudden speech difficulties and right-sided paralysis.

After being rushed to the Cam Khe District Medical Center, she was transferred to the Stroke Center at Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital. Medical professionals performed an endovascular thrombectomy approximately 2.5 hours after the onset of symptoms. The procedure successfully cleared a blockage in the left middle cerebral artery. Following the intervention, the patient's consciousness and motor functions have shown significant improvement.
