Phu Tho healthcare improves through equipment investment and digitalization
Healthcare facilities in Phu Tho province, Vietnam, are enhancing service quality through significant investments in modern medical equipment and digital transformation initiatives.
At the Huong Son Medical Center, socialized funding has provided advanced diagnostic tools, including an A70 ultrasound system with 50 probes and a 32-slice CT scanner. The center is also seeking resources for digestive endoscopy systems and 17 dialysis machines to allow patients to receive specialized treatment locally. Through partnerships with higher-level institutions like Hanoi Medical University Hospital, medical staff have mastered new techniques such as laser lithotripsy, digestive endoscopy, and hemodialysis.
Simultaneously, the province is accelerating digital transformation across its medical network. Hospitals and regional centers are implementing electronic medical records to replace paper files, aiming to reduce administrative burdens and improve data continuity. Patients are increasingly utilizing chip-based citizen ID cards, electronic health insurance, the VNeID application, and cashless payments. At the Tam Duong Regional Medical Center, digital tools such as fingerprint scanning for medication dispensing and automated laboratory result delivery are being used to increase transparency and efficiency.
