Phu Tho Military Command disposes of post-war explosives
The Military Command of Phu Tho Province coordinated the safe disposal of 21 pieces of unexploded ordnance and various explosives on September 15. The materials, identified as post-war remnants, were collected from the Lương Sơn commune and Hòa Bình ward.
The collected items included eight 100mm artillery shells, six 82mm artillery shells, five 60mm artillery shells, two grenades, and 150kg of ANFO industrial explosives. These materials were gathered from local military commands and secured before being transported to a designated training ground for destruction.
Military engineers implemented strict safety protocols, including the use of specific disposal sites for different types of explosives and the establishment of guard posts to minimize risks to people and property. The operation aims to eliminate threats to public safety and support local socio-economic development.
