Phu Tho Police prevent 108 million VND Zalo fraud attempt

Police in Phu Tho Province, Vietnam, successfully prevented a fraud attempt involving 108 million VND. The incident occurred when a man was contacted by an individual posing as a medical worker from the Cam Khe Regional Medical Center. The imposter requested the purchase of 200 gas masks for professional use and pressured the victim to make an immediate 30% down payment of 135 million VND to secure a discount.

Upon investigation, Dong Luong Commune Police verified that the medical center had no such employee and no plans to purchase gas masks. Authorities intervened to stop the transaction and protect the victims' funds. Police have advised citizens to verify identities and transaction purposes before acting on requests to purchase goods on behalf of others.
