Phu Tho province officials discuss infrastructure and tourism projects

Phu Tho provincial officials are reviewing major infrastructure and tourism development projects. Quach Tat Liem, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho People's Committee, recently presided over meetings regarding the Hoa Lac – Hoa Binh road construction project and the upgrading of National Highway 6.

The Hoa Lac – Hoa Binh project, proposed by Infinity Group Joint Stock Company, involves a 21.71 km route passing through Hanoi and Phu Tho. The plan includes constructing a four-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 km/h, with construction expected to begin in 2027 and finish in 2030. Future phases aim to expand the route to six lanes.

Separately, a tourism infrastructure development project is being prepared with significant funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project has a total investment of 3,752.68 billion VND, including 2,934.2 billion VND in ADB ODA loans. The development will focus on several communes and wards, including Ky Son, Tan Hoa, Thong Nhat, and Thung Nai. The timeline for the ADB loan involves formal appraisal in early 2027, with the project expected to break ground in May 2028.
