Phuket MP Somchat Techthaworncharoen denies foreign nominee allegations

Somchat Techthaworncharoen, the People's Party Member of Parliament for Phuket District 1, has submitted a letter to the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to deny allegations that he is acting as a nominee for foreign interests.

Addressing the claims circulating on social media, Techthaworncharoen stated that the accusations are exaggerated and untrue. He clarified that his involvement in the real estate and rental business is a legitimate livelihood and that he has not misused his political position for his business interests.

He expressed full willingness to cooperate with the DSI and undergo any legal processes to clear his name. Techthaworncharoen emphasized that while he is a public official, he is also a citizen entitled to protect his rights against unsubstantiated claims, and he urged that the matter not be used for political maneuvering.
