Phyna and Ashmusy clash over celebrity boxing deal

A dispute has erupted among Nigerian reality TV stars and influencers regarding a multi-million-naira celebrity boxing deal. Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna accused content creator Ashmusy of attempting to sabotage her participation in the event. Phyna claimed she had been in negotiations with organizers since February and had recommended Ashmusy for the bout, only for Ashmusy to allegedly request that Phyna be replaced.

Ashmusy denied these allegations in a social media statement, asserting that she never advocated for Phyna’s removal. She explained that she had expressed hesitation about participating and asked if she could fight a different opponent to avoid facing someone she was on good terms with, but denied any intent to undermine Phyna.

The conflict expanded when fellow reality star Chichi criticized Phyna, calling her “a disgrace to the people from the streets” and accusing her of being desperate for fame. Phyna responded by trading insults with Chichi, addressing their long-standing rivalry and previous legal disputes.
