Phyna files N500 million lawsuit against Carter Efe over alleged sex claim

Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna (Josephina Otabor) has filed a ₦500 million defamation suit against content creator Carter Efe (Joseph Oderhohwo Efe). The dispute began after streamer Davrel, who works for singer Davido, alleged that Efe said Phyna was “of no benefit” and later accused her of making sexual advances and seeking an introduction to his father. In a video exchange, Carter Efe admitted to having sex with Phyna, replying to her question “Me and you fuck?” with “Yes. I will bring the whole evidence outside.” Phyna announced via Instagram Live that legal notices had been served to both Carter Efe and Davrel. A pre‑action letter dated 30 July demanded a public retraction, apology and a livestream correction; Phyna is not seeking monetary compensation at this stage but warned she will pursue a ₦500 million claim if the demands are ignored.
