Physical educator shot dead in Logradouro, Paraíba

Marcos Daniel de Oliveira Silva, a physical educator and municipal employee, was shot and killed on Sunday morning in Logradouro, Paraíba. The incident occurred around 10:10 a.m. on the PB-081 highway between Logradouro and Nova Cruz.

According to the Civil Police, the victim was struck by approximately three shots to the abdomen. A suspect in a white vehicle reportedly fired the shots and fled the scene, dropping a mobile phone during the escape, which was recovered by the Military Police. While initial reports from the Military Police suggested the crime might have been motivated by jealousy, the Civil Police are continuing to investigate the exact motive and authorship. No arrests have been made as of the latest reports.

In response to the death, the municipality of Logradouro has declared three days of official mourning. During this period, flags will be flown at half-mast, and administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, with the exception of essential services.
