Physics conferences scheduled in Argentina and Spain

The Universidad Nacional de Catamarca will host the 111th Meeting of the Argentine Physics Association from September 15 to 18. This academic event, organized by the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, will bring together approximately 400 participants, including researchers, professors, and students from Argentina and abroad, specifically from Switzerland, Spain, and the United States. The program includes 200 talks and 160 poster presentations, featuring a researcher linked to the 2016 Nobel Prize in Physics.

In Spain, the Universidad de Huelva will host the III 'Reflexiones de La Rábida' Conference on September 15. Physicist Craig D. Roberts will present a lecture titled ‘What happens to mass?’, focusing on the international effort to explain the origin of approximately 99 percent of the visible mass in the universe. His research explores how matter properties emerge from interactions between elementary components and examines connections between mass, pion structure, and proton gravitational properties.
