Physics demonstrations in Bratislava and honors for László Krasznahorkai
Students at the Duna utcai Gymnasium in Bratislava participated in a dynamic physics lecture led by Károly Härtlein, a lecturer from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The session featured various demonstrations, including air pressure experiments, Van de Graaff generator displays, electromagnetic induction, and liquid nitrogen demonstrations. One notable experiment involved submerging a sealed bottle of liquid nitrogen into a barrel of water, resulting in a large water column explosion.
In Szentendre, Hungary, an official ceremony was held to induct author László Krasznahorkai as an honorary citizen of the city. During the event, Gábor Szabó delivered a laudation honoring the Nobel Prize-winning writer and his connection to the city.
