PhysicsWallah to expand operations across South India

PhysicsWallah (PW) founder and CEO Alakh Pandey has announced a strategic two-year expansion plan focused on South India. Pandey stated that his primary focus for the next 24 months will be to increase the company's presence and measurable impact in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala.

Founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, PhysicsWallah has grown into a major player in India's EdTech sector. The company reports having impacted over 40 million students since its inception, with more than 5 million paid students enrolled in FY 2026. The expansion aims to replicate the company's existing model of affordable, tech-enabled learning and competitive exam preparation, which has already established a significant footprint in North and Central India.
