Physiological changes in men over 40

As men age past 40, physiological changes often manifest as increased fatigue, disrupted sleep due to nighttime urination, and pelvic discomfort. These symptoms are frequently linked to the relationship between the prostate and the vascular system.

Sedentary lifestyles can lead to pelvic venous congestion, which reduces oxygen delivery to tissues. Additionally, the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which can cause the prostate to increase in volume and compress the urethra. This combination of tissue swelling and impaired microcirculation can result in urinary difficulties, decreased libido, and fluctuating potency.
