Physiological signs of aging identified by medical expert
Dr. Chen Jianhua, Deputy Head of General Medicine at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University, has identified five key physical indicators that signal the onset of the aging process.
Beyond common signs like gray hair or wrinkles, the aging process can manifest through changes in the gluteal region, where muscle loss and increased fat can lead to sagging. A receding hairline is another notable sign, often exacerbated by stress and endocrine disruptions.
Metabolic changes also play a significant role, particularly in the increase of waist circumference due to slower metabolism and hormonal shifts, such as declining estrogen levels in women. Additionally, the weakening of muscles and ligaments in the feet can lead to a flattening of the foot arches, a sign that is frequently overlooked.
