Physiotherapy Congress held at Kore University of Enna

The Order of Physiotherapists of Caltanissetta, Agrigento, and Enna held a congress titled ‘Physiotherapy in evolution, complexity and perspectives in various fields of intervention’ at the Kore University of Enna on September 26.

Presided over by Dr. Domenico Contino, the event featured national speakers, including Dr. Piero Ferrante, President of the National Federation of the Orders of Physiotherapists (FNOFI). The congress highlighted the growing importance of physiotherapy in managing chronic conditions, fragility, disability, and non-self-sufficiency, as well as its role in prevention and post-operative care.

The event also addressed the recent activation of a new physiotherapy degree program at the University of Enna, a move intended to meet increasing regional health needs in rehabilitation. This academic expansion follows a national trend where applications for physiotherapy degree courses have increased by 20% compared to the previous year.
