PI Industries launches CARVINT insecticide in India

PI Industries has launched CARVINT (Flometoquin 10% SC), a next-generation insecticide aimed at providing advanced pest management for Indian farmers. The product is specifically designed to control Thrips and Diamond Back Moth (DBM) in high-value crops such as chilli, cabbage, and cauliflower.

CARVINT utilizes Flometoquin, an active ingredient belonging to IRAC Group 34. This represents a new class of insecticides for the Indian market, offering a distinct mode of action that can assist in resistance-management programs when rotated with existing chemistries. The launch aims to address challenges such as rising crop-management costs, frequent spray requirements, and increasing pest resistance.

The initial rollout will focus on several key agricultural markets, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
