Pi Network launches SLICE test liquidity pool with 10 million tokens
Pi Network completed its second Launchpad test by creating a liquidity pool that pairs the SLICE test token with Test‑Pi. The core team distributed 10 million SLICE tokens and attracted over 242,000 pioneers, who committed roughly 15.9 million Test‑Pi during the June 11‑28 trial. The pool operates with an automated market maker alongside the Pi DEX order book, pricing swaps based on the constant‑product formula (SLICE × Test‑Pi = constant).
The test aimed to give users hands‑on experience with liquidity provision, token swaps and real‑world applications such as payments, rewards and governance before the mainnet launch. Market reaction was modest: PI briefly reclaimed the $0.08 level after a 5.8 % rise, but technical indicators suggested continued downside pressure, and whale activity remained bearish.
The experiment also simplified participation, letting pioneers decide how much Test‑Pi to commit while the system automatically calculated SLICE allocations and engagement rewards.
