Pi Network schedules Protocol 28 Mainnet upgrade for October 16
Pi Network is preparing for the Protocol 28 Mainnet upgrade, scheduled for October 16. This follows the successful completion of the Protocol 27 upgrade on the Mainnet.
Protocol 28 has already been deployed to the Testnet. The update is designed to improve how the network handles transaction data delays and provides developers with tools to update multiple smart contracts simultaneously and modify stored application data more securely.
Node operators have been given a deadline of October 13 to install the necessary software updates to ensure readiness for the Mainnet activation.
In terms of market performance, the PI token has been trading in a consolidation range between approximately $0.08 and $0.10. As of recent data, the token was valued near $0.0893 with a market capitalization of roughly $1 billion and a circulating supply of approximately 11.24 billion PI tokens.
